Studying for exams or finals can be pretty daunting and gruesome to get through. To help get conquer finals, it’s super important to keep your energy levels up and to stay as focused as you can. To do just that, your diet plays a major role.
Not only does eating healthy taste good but it can be truly beneficial both longterm and short. Overall your body will feel so much better being fueled on natural foods which can allow you to be more productive with your time (like better utilizing study time during finals week).
Here are some options to get you through finals:
- Almonds: They’re loaded with vitamin E, magnesium and protein that can help you sustain energy throughout the day. When you’re in the mood to snack, try almonds.
- Salmon: Super rich in omega-3 fatty acids that can actually lower cholesterol. Salmon is also high in protein and makes for a perfect for lunch or dinner. If you have questions on how to cook salmon, it doesn’t get any easier by tossing it in the oven for 15 minutes.
- Eggs: Probably considered THE staple to most when eating breakfast and is definitely a must in your diet. Eggs are not only provide the highest form of protein, they’re extremely easy to make.
- Apples: High in fiber and can give you a powerful jolt of energy. Apples can take longer to digest, so they’ll give you a more lasting effect. If you feel like being bold, try opting for an apple instead of coffee (test this out before finals).
- Brown Rice: A carb that can help you maintain energy throughout the day and easy to make. Rice is super versatile and can be served along with major proteins like salmon and veggies (i.e. spinach).
