This week the Flashnotes.com team reached out to Top Seller and current Freshmen at Temple University’s Fox School of Business, Danny Varughese.

“I graduated from Central High School, Class of 272! #ShoutOut”
DV: I found out about Flashnotes.com when my roommate purchased a study guide from a fellow classmate for a midterm he had coming up. I saw how much that study guide helped him, and the desire to help people in that way is what really sparked me to sign up and start using Flashnotes.com in the first place.
DV: My favorite part about Flashnotes.com is just how much thought was put into every detail of the website. As soon as you enroll in a course, you see the study guides uploaded for the respected course. If you click on an uploader, you can learn more about him/her and get a taste of who you’re buying from. You can review study guides you buy, and sharing them is extremely easy through all the templates and shortcuts that Flashnotes.com provides. It seemed to me like they didn’t miss a thing when they brainstormed the design of the site.
What do you like to do in your free time?
DV: In my free time I enjoy playing guitar, hanging with friends, and listening to and discovering new music.
DV: I think 30% is a pretty big cut off of sales, it would be cool if the 30% cut could decrease for the seller as they made more sales. It would definitely increase incentives to sell more.
DV: I had no idea what to do with my Flashnotes.com check when I first got it - mainly because I didn’t expect to get that much money in such a little time. I’m going to keep it in my bank account for now and just enjoy the fact that I don’t have to worry about personal finances for a little while.
DV: I think what’s most important behind making sales with notes is the timing of when you sell it and how worth-it your study guide really is. It’s important to sell your notes at the peak time of when everyone starts to really think and worry about how they’re going to study for an upcoming midterm/final. Also, it’s important to identify what people have trouble with the most in class. If students tend to have trouble taking notes on a specific topic, you can emphasize that your study guide has an in-depth analysis of the respective topic. It’s just important to emphasize why your study guide is something unique and worth-it, and that’s what I think about mainly before I go about making a sale.
